Elzevier, Elsevier, or Elzevir

Name of a famous family of printers. They created a type of printing character that bears their name and allows for the use of a smaller character while maintaining great page readability.

By extension, any work published by this famous family of Dutch typographers, printers, and booksellers is called Elzevier, Elsevier or Elzevir. The Elzeviers were highly sought after in the 19th century.
