Bookplate
An Ex-libris is an engraved mark of ownership in the form of a vignette, depicting the coat of arms of the book's owner or some allegorical subject with a legend. The ex-libris should be affixed to the inside front cover of the binding. Manuscript ex-libris dating back to the 14th century still exist.
