Booksellers

The KOEGUI bookstore was born from the meeting of Isabelle Bilbao and Guy Néplaz, now partners. Driven by the same curiosity to discover new authors, illustrators, or bookbinders, they share high standards in the selection of works gathered in the bookstore.

They are both deeply committed to promoting and fostering a love for beautiful books and to building trusting relationships with their customers, whether collectors, bibliophiles, or enlightened enthusiasts.

Guy Néplaz caught the book bug from his bibliophile father, whom he accompanied to auctions from a very young age. Alongside a professional career in business consulting, he is a collector always on the lookout for beautiful books on history, travel, and literature, dreaming of one day becoming a bookseller.

This dream came true with the acquisition in 2006 of the Librairie des Pyrénées, established for 30 years in the heart of Grand Bayonne.

Joined by Isabelle Bilbao in 2010, they created the KOEGUI bookstore in the same location, based on an initial collection selected with great care.

Guy Néplaz is the treasurer of the board of the SLAM (Syndicat de la Librairie Ancienne et Moderne - Union of Antique and Modern Bookstores). He passionately advocates for the development of bibliophilia.
