Book

Book is the generic term for several printed sheets bound together by stitching or a cover. In antiquity, a book was either a papyrus or parchment scroll, or square-cut parchment leaves bound together under a binding. Today, books are printed on a wide variety of papers, including handmade, machine-made, Japanese, Chinese, Whatman, parchment, vellum, etc.
