Binding
Binding is the set of operations involved in covering a previously sewn book with a more or less rigid cover, made of leather or another material.
Various types of bindings exist: sewing on raised bands, sewing on recessed cords, so-called Lyon or Dutch binding, wallet binding, Jansenist binding, Bradel binding, or cardboard binding.
