This short bound work describes the events preceding and following the unrest that took place in the Spanish city of Baylen (or Bailén). As the city became the center of the Andalusian revolt, Napoleon's Empire tried to reassert its authority over this gigantic powder keg, to no avail.

Half green shagreen binding. Spine with four raised bands with gilt title, author's name, and fillets. Spine slightly rubbed. Ex-libris in the form of labels on the pastedown. Pieces of paper glued on the front free endpaper and its verso. Black and white frontispiece. Handwritten annotations on several pages. Paper slightly browned but in good condition. Content adorned with black headbands. Content adorned with an out-of-text black and white plate and map, as well as an out-of-text black and white folding map.
