Letters patent of nobility - Francis I of Austria

In a hinged metal box (40.5 x 33cm). Period binding in full purple velvet, fastened with two silk ribbons: one yellow, the other black (39.5 x 31.5 cm). Later white moiré endpapers. Manuscript on vellum, calligraphed margins. Embellished with an illumination bearing the arms of Johann Freiherr von Wiedersperg. Complete with the seal bearing the arms of Francis I in orange wax, housed in a gilt copper box, attached to the work by a golden silk cord (14 cm in diameter, tiny crack and slight loss). Manuscript signatures at the end. A very fine copy.
