ORIGINAL EDITION embellished with 3 original etchings outside the text by Julius Baltazar, Olivier Debré and Roger Bertèmes, monogrammed in pencil by the artists.LIMITED EDITION of 60 copies on Arches vellum paper signed by the author, the artists and the translator. This copy is one of the 12 copies of the deluxe edition accompanied by an original India ink drawing monogrammed by each of the painters (No. 1).

On the half-title page, 2 ORIGINAL DRAWINGS in grease pencil are dedicated and signed: "For Martine and Gérard [Vidalenche], with my friendship Bertèmes"; and: "For the Vidalenche family under the Parisian sky. Their friend Julius XXIII IIIII 1997".

Housed in a slipcase and chemise with a leather spine and strips. Contemporary binding in lavender blue morocco. Each cover features two vertical inlays of light gray box calf in slight relief, with an oblique streak of metallic gray paint enhanced with inlaid metallic colored reeds. Smooth spine, title in palladium letters in the Chinese style, lavender blue suede doublures and endpapers. Gilt edges over uncut pages. Original wrappers and spine preserved. Binding signed Renaud VERNIER maître d'art. 2001.
