As we are in the midst of the July Monarchy, royalty seems to be definitively back in fashion after a chaotic early 19th century. Hence this book dedicated to "Monseigneur the Duke of Orléans," by his humble servant, the author. While evoking the royal Château de Pau, the birthplace of the illustrious Henri IV of Bourbon, Saget reminds the reader of the nobility of the aforementioned Duke of Orléans' lineage.

Half-navy blue sheepskin binding. Smooth spine with triple gilt fillets, title, and author. Worn cap and joints. All edges speckled. Traces of a handwritten inscription on the half-title page. Foxing and halos on the pages. Content adorned with black and white tail-pieces and an out-of-text black and white folding plan not present in the original edition.
