RARE COLLECTION comprising 85 pencil and India ink drawings, enhanced with watercolor (a few sketches in ink only), some with silver or gold accents, all meticulously executed, originating from the Becker Fils haute couture house, located in Paris at 35 rue des Jeuneurs (exhibitor and gold medalist at the 1925 exhibition). The drawings are monogrammed A.H. or F.H..

This collection includes outfit designs for Summer 1919, Mid-Season 1919-1920, Summer 1920, and Winter 1921, with each collection kept in a cord-tied folder, all protected by us in a slipcase (Benjamin Elbel).

Most of the outfits are accompanied by a complementary pencil sketch of the back of the garment or an important detail, and a few handwritten lines of precise description, in pencil or ink. Some are marked with the fashion house's stamp on the reverse of the sheet. Two of the drawings also have fabric samples glued to the top of the sheet. Each collection specifies the season and the name of the person probably responsible for creating the models: "Summer Mid-Season 1919-1920 Madame Louise." Finally, it is noted that each drawing is dated, some in American style "Oct. 30th," others in French style, all have a numbered reference, and one drawing bears the mention "Never made."

Remarkable collection featuring afternoon dresses, blouses, evening coats, and other dressing gowns, with raised or lowered waists, orientalizing motifs, and shortened skirts, typical of the Roaring Twenties.
