Book published for the exhibition "The Landscape in the Work of Fernand Léger" at the Louis Carré gallery from November 19 to December 31, 1954, but released two years later as a private edition. Gallery card included.

RARE BOOK, as it was released two years after the exhibition itself, and never put on general sale.

Born on February 4, 1881, in Argentan, Fernand Léger worked on many mediums throughout his career, including painting, cinema, illustration, glasswork, ceramics, and design. A contemporary of Picasso and Matisse, and a friend of Duchamp and Cendrars, Léger was primarily modern due to his belonging to an era rich in artistic innovations. He then celebrated machinery and urban life in many paintings.
