LIMITED EDITION. This is one of 50 deluxe copies numbered on Imperial Japan paper with a double suite of illustrations in black and color bound at the end of the volume and an additional frontispiece.

UNIQUE COPY, the 18 ORIGINAL WATERCOLORS used to illustrate the work are bound at the end of this volume, mounted on stubs after the suites.

In a bordered slipcase and half-morocco chemise with flaps. Full midnight blue morocco binding. Smooth spine, unlettered. Front cover adorned with a boat with gilt ironwork and a sail mosaicked with red box calf leather. All edges gilt. Doublure and endpapers of red box calf, double endpapers. Original wrappers and spine preserved. Binding signed MAROT-RODDE. With 16 illustrations by Louis WILLAUME in color, including 4 out of text.

Ex-libris of Henri Bonnasse (1899-1984), a Marseilles banker and renowned bibliophile, member of the Société des Amis des Livres and the bibliophile society Le Livre Contemporain. This collection was dispersed during Henri Bonnasse's lifetime, on March 20 and November 27, 1982.
