Le Paradis Musulman, the third collaboration between Schmied and Dr. Mardrus, a scholar famous for his translation of The Arabian Nights, can be considered one of the most beautiful works created by Schmied, who here also enlisted the talent of lacquer artist Jean Dunand.

FIRST EDITION and unique printing of this beautiful book designed and printed by François-Louis SCHMIED, and illustrated and ornamented by him with 32 woodcut compositions printed in color, most with gold and silver highlights: front cover, title, 6 full-page and 24 headpieces, initials, and vignettes. The work, whose mock-up was exhibited at the Galerie Petit in December 1925, was completed on October 31, 1930.
