In a bordered slipcase. Full antique red morocco binding. Spine with 4 raised bands bearing the gilt title and decorated with blind-tooled and mosaic patterns. Covers decorated with a wide border of blind-tooled arabesque patterns adorned with mosaic pastilles in various colors and small gilt dots. Inner frame outlined by a double gilt fillet and four burgundy strips, arabesque motif with mosaic pastilles at the corners, red moiré lining and endpapers. Gilt edges on untouched margins. Original covers and spine preserved. Binding signed Ch. SEPTIER.

Illustrated with 18 compositions by Georges ROCHEGROSSE, etched in color by E. Decisy, including 6 full-page illustrations.
