In a bordered slipcase and aubergine morocco-backed chemise. Full aubergine morocco binding. Spine with 4 raised bands decorated with blind tooled fillets extending onto the covers in mosaic and gilt floral motifs. Havana morocco doublures within a mosaic morocco frame. Painted silk endpapers. All edges gilt. Original wrappers and spine preserved. Binding signed Georges LEVITZKY. Edition illustrated with 38 original etchings by LOBEL-RICHE, including 21 full-page plates (including the portrait), 10 headpieces, and 7 tailpieces.
