FIRST EDITION with a beautiful inscription from the author: "To the pure poet / Armand Godoy / this too humble testimony / of my profound admiration, / my gratitude / / and my friendship / Yves Gandon". In addition, the work is enhanced with a manuscript sheet from the author dedicated to "the poet Armand Godoy, this manuscript chapter from his admirer and friend Yves Gandon". This chapter corresponds to chapter XII of the book. The poet Armand Godoy was born in Havana in 1880. At 40, he decided to become a French poet "in the language of Baudelaire" and settled in Paris in 1919. A bibliophile, he had a particular admiration for this poet of whom he possessed a considerable number of documents and souvenirs, notably Baudelaire's letters to his mother.
