VERY LUXURIOUS COPY THAT BELONGED TO LÉON CONQUET, WITH THE ILLUSTRATIONS ENTIRELY HAND-COLORED WITH WATERCOLOR BY A. ROBIDA. It bears, below the justification, this note from the artist: "This copy has been completely enhanced with colors by the artist. A. Robida", and this inscription: "To my friend L. Conquet".

It is further enhanced with A SET OF BLACK IMPRESSIONS ON CHINA PAPER, A BEAUTIFUL WATERCOLOR on the half-title with a dedication to L. Conquet, 7 WATERCOLORS on the inner titles, 9 VERY BEAUTIFUL FULL-PAGE WATERCOLORS ON JAPAN PAPER, and the prospectus on China paper (4 pages).

In a bordered slipcase and half-morocco folder. Full almond green morocco binding. Boards framed with a large mosaic design of stylized dark green foliage. Spine with 5 raised bands decorated with a repeat of the design in the compartments, wide inner border outlined by gilt fillets, thin roll, and grenat and green fillets, caramel morocco doublures, almond green silk endpapers, gilt edges on uncut pages. Covers and spine preserved. Binding signed MERCIER successeur de Cuzin. Text revised and preface by Jules de Marthold. 90 illustrations in the text, first printing by A. ROBIDA.
