Le mot du libraire

ORIGINAL EDITION embellished with 3 seals applied by hand in cinnabar on the title page, the colophon, and page 207. One of 15 copies on Imperial Japan paper, the only large-paper copies apart from a small number of others: 15 named and 3 anonymous, printed on large-format Korean tribute paper.

This collection of prose poems is dedicated to the painter Georges-Daniel de Monfreid, a friend of Victor Segalen, who would illustrate the covers of an edition of René Leÿs and Les immémoriaux.
