In a bordered slipcase. Half-morocco binding in fir green with bands, on the covers, a wide strip of ivory vellum, framed by a gilt fillet on both sides, on this ivory strip, a geometric decoration formed by a cross-hatching of five black fillets outlining diamonds, in the center of each of them, small gilt dots also forming diamonds, smooth spine with gilt Chinese-style title, gilt author and illustrator. Gilt top edge. Covers and spine preserved. Binding signed Georges CRETTÉ. Spine slightly faded. Illustrated with 16 watercolors by Geneviève GALLIBERT, 9 of which are full-page.
