Black and grey box leather strips, smooth spine, geometric scroll-shaped decoration covering the boards in mastic, brown, and red calfskin pieces, yellow suede linings and endpapers, gilt edges on untrimmed leaves, covers and spine preserved, chemise. Binding signed Paul BONET. La Main passe is, along with René Char’s Le Marteau sans maître (1934), one of only two poetic works illustrated by Kandinsky.
